“Agent RA” (as an extension to the Service Approval above)

Note 2: An incremental fee will be applied, at the “Agent RA” approval and renewal rates, for each block of registrant access points above the following thresholds: 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and so on.

‘Outsourced’ or specialist Trust Service - including non-certificate services - seeking independent approval against specific Profiles (Note 3).

Note 3: Although not necessarily a full service in the sense of the wide functional scope described in the Certification Authority Profile, it fulfils the requirements for service approval in that it has policy and practice statements, subscribers and relying parties (usually independent TSP partners), statements of liability acceptance and so on. It must be fully assessed against all of the criteria in the Profiles that apply to it.

Note 4: Taken with the Fee of £3K for the Certification Authority Profile, the cost of an Approval against all of the individual Certification Service Profiles is therefore £20K - the same as for the full Certification Authority Service Approval above.

Registration Service

Identity Service

Base Profile £4K plus:

£3K for Registration Authority, or

£3K for Identity Service Profile

This covers up to 100 points of registrant access or identity verification (Note 2).

Trust Service Component(s) being assessed outside any specific operational service deployment context (Note 5).

“tScheme-Ready”

Trust Service Component

Calculated according to the applicable Profile criteria used in assessment: minimum fee is £5K (Base + 1 part-Profile).

Note 5: Such a Service Component may not be able to be assessed against all of the criteria in a particular Profile, for example it may not yet be associated with a particular Service Policy. tScheme’s decision on the suitability of a Component for assessment is final.

*please note that these fees DO NOT include the cost of assessment, which is agreed between the TSP and selected assessor (see Preparing for an Assessment in the Library section)

GENERAL NOTES:

All service providers seeking approval for their service are required to sign a Registered Applicant agreement with tScheme prior to commencement of assessment. The fee payable on signing is £5K, rebated in full against the final approval fee: provided approval is granted within one year of first registration; otherwise the registration fee is non-returnable.

Along with approval against applicable Profiles as detailed above, service providers can ask tScheme to consider for inclusion in a Grant of Approval, or Grant of tScheme-Ready Status, explicit endorsement of conformance to recognised externally produced standards or guidelines. If accepted, the fee for such inclusion is £1K per standard or guideline with an annual renewal fee of £0.25K per standard or guideline.
