When the Service of a Trust Service Provider (TSP) has been Approved by tScheme, they can use the tScheme approval Mark. This lets users know they can buy, apply, sign up or join with confidence.

Approved services

PKI Approved Service     IDP Approved Service

This is the Mark that can be displayed by organisations that have achieved Approved Service status. The colour code indicates the type of technology – red for public key infrastructure (PKI) and turquoise for IdP (non-PKI).

These organisations can include this Mark on their website. They can add a link to this Mark that can take users to this website where they’ll find information on the Approved Service.

Registered applicants

PKI Registered Applicant     IDP Registered Applicant

This is the Mark that can be displayed by organisations that have registered for but have not yet achieved Approved Service status. The colour code indicates the type of technology – red for public key infrastructure (PKI) and turquoise for IdP (non-PKI).

These organisations can include this Mark on their website. They can add a link to this Mark that can take users to this website where they’ll find information on the Service they have registered.

Registered Applicant status recognises the firm commitment the TSP is making to complete the tScheme Assessment process in a timely manner.

tScheme-recognised Assessors

Recognised Assessor

This Mark can be displayed by assessors that have been independently accredited by an appropriate national Accreditation Body (in the UK this is UKAS) and has then been recognised by tScheme as able to carry out assessments of Trust Services leading to production of a report recommending tScheme Approval for the relevant Service. Currently, our recognised assessors are KPMG and LRQA.
